Lin Xi 林夕
Born in Hong Kong in 1961, Lin Xi is a prolific and award-winning Hong Kong lyricist and writer. He has written over 4,000 song lyrics since the 80’s of the last century. Lin Xi has great admiration in Chinese calligraphy and culture, he created a range of "Lyrics-Calligraphy" Ink paintings exclusively for this exhibition.
“In lyrics there are words, and hopefully in brush and ink there's a picture, and together is captured a sense of my mental state when originally composing the lyrics.”

“Clarity” isn’t always clear.
The word itself slips away—
you see the sun, but no moon;
brightness, but no shade.
Only light, no darkness—
so how can tomorrow ever come into view?
